1. Bajaj Finserv picks ex-GIC chairman to lead reinsurance foray
Indian financial services group Bajaj Finserv has chosen former GIC Re chairman and managing director Ramaswamy Narayanan to lead its entry into the reinsurance sector.
Narayanan, an industry veteran with over three decades of experience, will lead Bajaj Finserv’s new reinsurance division. He is due to join the firm next week.
He retired as GIC Re’s chairman and managing director in September after almost three years in charge.

2. Aviso Specialty hires Marsh veteran to stand up capital solutions group
Australian specialty broker Aviso Specialty has appointed Eric Wojcik as head of capital and guarantee solutions, effective March 2027.
With the appointment, the broker will establish a new capital solutions group, which is designed to bring together specialist expertise from across the business to support clients where risk, capital and commercial considerations intersect.

3. Swiss Re CorSo hires APAC global network manager
Adnan Bhat has joined Swiss Re Corporate Solutions (Swiss Re CorSo) as global network manager for Asia Pacific within its international programs team, effective from October 5.
Bhat has joined Swiss Re CorSo as a vice president responsible for supporting the growth of the commercial insurer’s partner ecosystem across APAC.

4. Everest names APAC financial lines director for wholesale, specialty
Everest has appointed Adrian Di Pasquale as financial lines director for wholesale and specialty in Asia Pacific.
Singapore-based Di Pasquale joins from Chubb, where he had served as Southeast Asia financial lines underwriting manager since April 2025.

5. Lockton taps Price Forbes director as senior consultant for Japan business
Lockton has appointed Kenichiro Miki as a senior consultant for its Japan business in its Singapore regional office.
Before joining Lockton, Miki worked as an executive director at Price Forbes in Singapore, where he was head of the wholesale broker’s Japan practice from April 2025.

6. Mitsui Bussan Pana Harrison appoints head of general insurance 
Mitsui Bussan Pana Harrison, the Lloyd’s (re)insurance broker majority-owned by Mitsui, has appointed Alice Lim as head of general insurance.
In her new role, Alice will lead the firm’s general insurance and employee benefits and work closely with it’s team and business partners to support the continued development of its portfolio.

7. Marsh reshuffles Australia, Thailand teams
Marsh has appointed Sonya Febbo as head of authorised representatives for corporate and commercial in Australia.
Melbourne-based Febbo previously spent over 15 years as managing director of XS Insurance, a corporate authorised representative of Marsh.
Jack Petrie has relocated from Melbourne to Bangkok to take up the role as cyber practice leader for Marsh Thailand.
Petrie spent the last three years as managing principal for Marsh in Melbourne, having joined from the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority in October 2023.

8. Axa XL promotes senior underwriter to Asia underwriting manager for political risk, credit, bond
Axa XL has promoted Paul Gardner to underwriting manager for political risk, credit and bond (PRCB) in Asia.
Based in Singapore, Gardner brings over 35 years of experience in structured finance and cross-border solutions, with a career spanning project finance, commodity finance, tax, leasing, export credit agencies, as well as advisory and workout solutions, according to the post.

9. HDI Global Japan names general manager of distribution and marketing
HDI Global has appointed Kei Kimura as general manager of distribution and marketing at its Japan branch.
Kimura stepped into the role on October 1 with leadership experience and a track record of driving business growth, developing high-performing teams, and building client partnerships.

10. Great Eastern appoints VP for digital distribution platforms
Daniel Rombach has joined Great Eastern Insurance as vice president for digital distribution platforms.
Rombach, who began the role in September, moved from Chubb, where he was most recently the accident and health product owner for Asia Pacific since relocating to Singapore in April 2024.

11. Australian broker Knightcorp adds financial lines account director
Australian broker Knightcorp has appointed Justin Geldart as account director for financial lines.
Perth-based Geldart joins the broker with nearly three decades of insurance experience, last holding the position of client manager at Gallagher since January 2024.

12. Ace Insurance Brokers hires senior vice president
Ace Insurance Brokers has tapped Shashin Kowshik as a senior vice president in its Bengaluru office.
Kowshik joined Ace Insurance Brokers after more than a decade at Aon, having held various underwriting roles at Bajaj Allianz General Insurance for almost 10 years earlier prior to that.

13. Howden Re names associate director for APAC facultative
Howden Re has appointed Titus Wu as associate director for facultative in APAC, based in Singapore.
Wu relocated to Singapore from Hong Kong for the new role, having most recently been an associate director for reinsurance with Aon in Hong Kong, where he worked for five years.

As a senior underwriter with more than 40 years of underwriting experience across bloodstock and aviation, London-based Higgins (pictured) will focus on building a bloodstock portfolio comprising major-value risks worldwide in his new role.
Ex-Lloyd’s CEO John Neal has joined software developer LUSYi as a non-executive chairman. He returns to the industry after a hiatus, following a tumultuous period that saw planned moves to Aon and AIG unravel amid a Lloyd’s investigation.
