Zurich has named Anish Jadav as its chief underwriting officer (CUO) in Singapore.
In a statement, Zurich said the appointment of Jadav is part of the insurer’s plans to grow its commercial insurance business in the city-state.
Jadav will work closely with the Asia-Pacific Regional commercial insurance team headed by Chris Waterman.
The new CUO joins Zurich’s Singapore branch from the company’s commercial insurance business in the UK where he worked in multiple roles, including deputy CUO.
The Swiss insurance giant said Jadav will lead underwriting for the commercial insurance business in Singapore as well as manage the specialty lines of accident and health, financial lines, marine and surety.
Zurich has made a large number of appointments in its Asian-based units this year as it seeks to further expand its services for clients across Asia Pacific.
