XL Catlin has appointed Phil Xue as chief executive officer of its China subsidiary, XL Insurance (China), pending regulatory approval.
Xue will also act as country manager for XL Catlin in China, coordinating all in-country activities.
Before joining XL Catlin, Xue spent more than 10 years with Guy Carpenter, most recently as head of South China and head of its Shanghai business.
He worked in Guy Carpenter’s Hong Kong Office for five years before helping to set up Guy Carpenter’s Shanghai office in 2012.
Xue has also worked at Royal Sun Alliance and China Pacific Insurance.
