Life insurer PNB MetLife and Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (BBK) have signed a corporate agency agreement.

Under the agreement, PNB MetLife can now distribute its retail and group products to BBK’s customers across India.

BBK customers get access to PNB MetLife’s entire portfolio of products which range from health, savings, and wealth to rural plans.

BBK, one of the largest commercial banks in Bahrain, has branches in India’s major metro areas such as Mumbai, Hyderabad, Aluva and New Delhi.

The bancassurance deal with BBK is part of the insurer’s approach to boost growth.

Earlier, it has also forged similar agreements with PNB, Karnataka Bank and Jammu & Kashmir Bank.
