Phelan to lead Aspen SingaporeSeptember 3 2018 by InsuranceAsia News Staff
Martin Phelan, head of credit and political risk at Aspen Singapore, has been appointed principal officer for Aspen Insurance’s Singapore operations.
In addition Rory Kane, head of upstream energy – Aspen Singapore, has been made deputy principal officer.
Phelan replaces Yann Marmonier who has left Aspen to pursue other opportunities; both Phelan and Kane will keep their previous roles
A spokesperson at Aspen told Insurance Asia News: “These appointments [approved by the Monetary Authority of Singapore] are recognition of the roles Martin and Rory have played in that success and are testament to the considerable internal talent that we have within Aspen Insurance.”
Aspen Insurance entered Singapore through a Lloyd’s syndicate on the Lloyd’s Asia platform in 2016.
