Peak Re has appointed Christopher Lee to oversee the company’s life and health reinsurance business, including medical.
He replaces Angela Koechli, who is leaving the company to pursue other interests.
“Christopher is an experienced industry professional with an impressive track record in life and health reinsurance business,” said Franz-Josef Hahn, chief executive of Peak Re. “I am confident that [Lee] will further strengthen our life and health book and broaden Peak Re’s long-term reinsurance offerings for our clients.”
Lee has 27 years of life and health insurance and reinsurance experience with an intimate understanding of the South-East Asia markets. Before joining Peak Re, he was the head of client markets for South-East Asia at Swiss Re, accountable for new business acquisition and retention of clients.
Before that, Lee spent four years with Allianz SE Reinsurance and has also worked at two of the largest life insurers in Asia: AIA & Prudential.
