Nine senior members of Aon Risk Solutions’ Asia regional team have left the broker earlier this week, InsuranceAsia News understands.
The managers have left through a combination of redundancy and early retirement according to a senior market source.
Members of the team that have exited the global broking giant include: Hong Kong-based Betsy Knowles, regional director construction, power and infrastructure, Aon Specialty; Benjamin Chang, Asia regional managing director, Aon Risk Solutions; Les Collett, Asia regional director – structured credit and political risk, Aon Risk Solutions; and Singapore-based Thomas Cain, regional director, Aon Risk Solutions.
According to their LinkedIn profiles, Knowles has been at the broker since August 2014; Collett since August 2016; and Cain since 1999. Chang joined the firm in 1996 when Aon acquired Alexander & Alexander.
Sandeep Malik, Asia Pacific chief executive of Aon Risk Solutions, health solutions and affinity, oversees the region.
InsuranceAsia News has reached out to Aon for comment.
