1. Marsh Asia president to become UK CEO, Asia CEO handed expanded role as president
Marsh has appointed Marsh Asia president James Addington-Smith as CEO of Marsh UK.
Marsh McLennan Asia CEO David Jacob will assume the additional role of president of Marsh Asia.

2. Lockton promotes head of specialties to power and energy growth leader
Lockton has promoted the current head of specialties for Asia, Harsh Chhajer, to power and energy growth leader for Asia.
The move comes as Lockton launched a new power and energy committee for the region, with Chhajer to drive the growth of the business.

3. Aon elevates multiple senior leaders
Aon has elevated Jason Disborough to chief commercial officer for the Pacific region.
The firm also handed an expanded role to Vincent Shih, who is named head of treaty reinsurance in Taiwan alongside his existing titles of senior executive director for Aon and Aon reinsurance solutions.

4. Gallagher Re appoints new APAC executive director for customised solutions
Gallagher Re has appointed Parrus Kunvarji as the executive director for customised solutions in the Asia-Pacific region.
Sydney-based Kunvarji will be responsible for the reinsurance broker’s customised portfolio in the APAC region, with a focus on driving growth and expansion.
5. Sedgwick confirms new Australia leadership
Phil van Zyl, CEO for New Zealand, has also been appointed interim CEO of Sedgwick Australia, replacing Diego Ascani.
Simon Kay, meanwhile, has been appointed as chief operating officer for Australia.

6. HDI Global grows financial lines team with underwriting manager appointment
HDI Global has appointed Jeremy Wang as an underwriting manager to its financial lines team in Singapore.
Wang (pictured) was previously at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) for more than six years.
7. Willis elevates director to Asia casualty head, appoints associate director for M&A team in India
Willis has promoted Anthony Wong to head of casualty for the Asia region. Wong previously was a director in Willis’ large accounts team, based in Hong Kong.
Willis India also appointed Pallavi Verma as associate director in the M&A team.

8. China Re name new head of climate risk research centre
Cynthia Yuan Xi has become the new head of China Re’s climate risk research centre.
The role involves managing China Re’s catastrophe risks for its insurance and investment arms.

9. Axa XL promotes France casualty head to APAC and Europe casualty product leader
Axa XL has promoted Annabelle Lacroix to regional product leader of casualty for Asia-Pacific and Europe.
Paris-based Lacroix was previously the casualty underwriting head of the middle market in France since November 2021.
10. Hannover Re names new life and health head for greater China
Hannover Re has named Yan Sun as its new head of life and health for greater China.
She replaces Niall Mulvey, who moved to Partner Re in October as chief underwriting officer for life and health. Mulvey had been appointed as Hannover Re’s head of life and health for greater China in February.
