Marsh announces new global management structureSeptember 8 2017 by InsuranceAsia News Staff
Marsh has unveiled a new global structure and an expanded executive management team.
The new structure includes a newly-formed global risk and digital (GR&D) division, which focuses on small commercial businesses, families and individuals, and a global placement and specialties division, which encompasses Marsh’s insurance placement activities as well as its global industry and practice specialties.
GR&D also comprises Marsh’s consulting practices and its data, digital and analytics solutions. John Drzik, previously president of global risk and specialties, has been appointed president of GR&D.
Marsh’s global placement operations include retail and specialty, wholesale and portfolio solutions, while the specialties operations include aviation, construction, credit, energy, marine, private equity and M&A, and infrastructure. Dean Klisura has been appointed president of the division.
“This is an exciting time in our industry as the complexity of risks and the speed of change our clients face increase,” said John Doyle, who became chief executive of Marsh in July. “Our new global structure and expanded executive team will better enable us to deliver unmatched innovation and value to our clients around the world.”
The new structure also includes Marsh International, which comprises operations in Africa, Asia, continental Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, Middle East and North Africa, Pacific, and UK and Ireland.
Flavio Piccolomini, previously chief executive of Marsh’s continental Europe business, has been appointed president of Marsh International and will relocate to London.
All three of the new presidents will report to Doyle and serve on the executive committee.
