Former Alliance Financial chairman joins Labuan FSAOctober 23 2018 by InsuranceAsia News Staff
Malaysia’s finance ministry has approved the appointment of Oh Chong Peng (pictured) as the chairman of the Labuan Financial Services Authority from October 16 this year until February 15 2020.
Oh is currently the non-executive director of British American Tobacco (Malaysia), the Dialog Group, Kumpulan Eruoplus, Malayan Flour Mills and PUC. He is also a trustee of the UTAR Education Foundation.
Previously, Oh was chairman of the Alliance Financial Group until his retirement from the board in 2017. He was also a partner of Coopers & Lybrand Malaysia and a government-appointed member of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (now known as Bursa Malaysia).
