Nippon Life buying smaller rival for US$3.4bn

Nippon life Insurance, the second-biggest life insurer in Japan, is set to offer up to ¥400 billion (US$3.4 billion) to acquire its smaller competitor, Mitsui Life Insurance, according to a report.
