Insurance Australia Group (IAG) has appointed Mark Drasutis as its new chief digital officer, a newly created position that covers a broad range of brands.
In a statement, IAG said Drasutis, who will report to chief customer officer Julie Batch, will join the insurer’s customer labs division, which incorporates digital and marketing teams and takes the lead on customer experience.
Drasutis was with NewsCorp, where he was innovation head, before joining IAG. Previously, he led consumer products development for Yahoo’s European, Middle East and Africa teams, based out of the UK.
Drasutis said digital is now central to insurance services and is setting new levels for customer expectations.
