FWD hires Arthur Lee as South-East Asia chairmanFebruary 15 2018 by InsuranceAsia News Staff
FWD Group has appointed Arthur Lee as executive vice-president, new markets and corporate governance, and South-East Asia chairman.
Lee will oversee FWD’s expansion in the region, as well as leading corporate governance across the group, including risk, compliance, audit and legal functions.
Lee was previously at Tokio Marine Asia, where he was chief executive and member of the board, as well as executive officer of Tokio Marine Holdings.
“[Lee’s] extensive knowledge of the South-East Asian markets and his long term relationships with key partners in the region will be extremely valuable assets for FWD,” said Huynh Thanh Phong, group CEO, FWD.
Prior to Tokio Marine, Lee was executive director of the Asia Life Assurance Society for several years, where he managed Singapore and Malaysia property and casualty, and later, life businesses.
