Former JLT exec joins Willis Towers Watson

Willis Towers Watson has appointed Lihui Gong, formerly relationship manager at JLT Hong Kong, as head of broking, Hong Kong.

In the new role, which she started this month, Gong (pictured) has become responsible for the broking operations in Hong Kong.

The role include managing insurers, facilities development and panels, implementation of systems and enhancing data and analytics for clients. Gong will also be part of the regional broking team and reports to Ben Dunston, head of broking in Asia.

Singapore-based Dunston commnented:  “[Gong] brings extensive broking and industry experience which will strengthen our ability to drive optimal outcomes for our clients. We are confident that the expertise she brings and her knowledge of the Hong Kong and China markets will support our ambition to become the foremost insurance broker in Asia.”

Gong left JLT, which is now part of Marsh, in March after joining in September 2012 from Lockton (according to her LinkedIn profile).

Willis Towers Watson has locations in 15 offices in the region: Brunei, China, Hong Kong (which covers Macau), India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
