Dai-ichi Life Insurance has signed an agreement to sell its products exclusively for 15 years at branches of state-run Vietnam Post.
The agreement officially makes Dai-ichi Life Vietnam as the exclusive business partner providing life insurance products through Vietnam Post’s network of post offices in 64 provinces around the country.
In return, Dai-ichi Life will introduce Vietnam Post products and services to tits customers. In a statement following the signing of the agreement, Takashi Fujii, chairman of the member council of Dai-ichi Life Vietnam, said the deal is part of the insurer’s strategy to diversify distribution channels to provide Vietnamese people access to its different products.
Dai-ichi Life Insurance Vietnam also received the amended licence to raise its chartered capital to Vnd1.48 trillion (US$87 million).
