CII appoints Thompson as international directorNovember 9 2018 by InsuranceAsia News Staff
The Chartered Insurance Institute has appointed David Thompson as international director. He is based in the CII’s new Middle East and Africa headquarters in Dubai, and will oversee its operations in Hong Kong and India.
Thompson has over 34 years’ experience in sales and business development in the financial services sector. He joins the CII from Friends Provident International, where he was most recently regional sales director for the Middle East and Africa.
Sian Fisher, chief executive of the Chartered Insurance Institute, commented: “With a growing appetite for qualified financial services experts across the world, [Thompson] will play a crucial part in ensuring our international members receive access to the training and qualifications that they demand, as well as delivering the professional standards message to potential members globally.”
