John French has been appointed Chubb’s head of global brokers, Australia & New Zealand and will replace Perry O’Leary who is retiring next year.
French (pictured) has been head of broker distribution Asia Pacific at Chubb since February last year and was previously country president Australia and New Zealand. In his new role he will continue to be based in Sydney and report to to Jason Hawksworth – Chubb’s head of distribution for Australia and New Zealand.
Jarrod Hill, Chubb’s country president Australia and New Zealand, commented: “We are very fortunate to have someone of [French’s] experience, leadership skills and market reputation in this critical role for Australia and New Zealand.”
In Australia and New Zealand, Chubb has global broker distribution teams in Adelaide, Auckland, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
Chubb has also appointed Ross McCallum as head of independent brokers, Australia & New Zealand. McCallum joined Chubb in June 2018 as Steadfast key account manager.
