Chubb Singapore taps Jerry Ng to lead bancassuranceOctober 1 2019 by InsuranceAsia News Staff
Former Great Eastern and OCBC executive Jerry Ng, will step into the role of division head of bancassurance for Singapore at Chubb.
Ng’s new role at the insurer will look after the growth, development and strategy of the company’s Singapore bancassurance distribution channel. This includes its partnership with DBS Bank.
Previously the lead of regional bancassurance at Great Eastern and the head of bancassurance at OCBC, Ng is a bancassurance specialist who has held several senior roles “across various liens of business and key partnership distribution channels.” He has three decades of financial services, sales and marketing expertise.
Ng will report to Scott Simpson, Chubb’s country president for Singapore.
Simpson spoke of Ng’s appointment: “Jerry’s experience across various distribution channels, wide network of contacts and keen insights of the local industry, make him an ideal fit for the role. With his strong understanding of the bancassurance business model, I am confident he will lead our growth and development in this space and build our position as the partner of choice.”
