1. Austbrokers Countrywide, Adroit Insurance & Risk names new businesses group CEO
Darren Toll has been appointed as the CEO of the newly merged Austbrokers Countrywide and Adroit Insurance & Risk businesses, with Tim Considine transitioning to a role as group executive chair.
Toll has been general manager of Austbrokers Countrywide since May 2011 having joined from GIO Insurance, while Considine has been with Austbrokers Countrywide since August 1999.

2. Fraction co-founders join Oneglobal
Fraction Brokers Asia co-founders Dan Dibden and Onno Sterk have joined Oneglobal Broking in senior roles.
Dibden has joined the firm as chief commercial officer for Hong Kong, while Sterk has been appointed as head of digital assets.

3. QBE appoints COO, general counsel, and head of motor, A&H, householder for Asia
QBE has appointed Patrick Karlowski as COO for its Asia business.
Succeeding Klaas Dijkstra, who has assumed the role of CIO for international, Hong Kong-based Karlowski will report to Nathan Fuller, COO for international, with a dotted line to QBE Asia CEO Rob Kosova.
Additionally, QBE’s Richart Hart has relocated to Singapore to take up the role of general counsel for the Asia region.
The insurer also has appointed Evariste Yeung as Asia head of motor, A&H and householder, expanding his existing responsibilities.

4. AIG appoints head of financial lines in Singapore and vice chairman in Japan
AIG has tapped Brian Jee as its head of financial lines in Singapore. Jee has joined AIG from Everest Insurance, where he spent the last three years as a senior financial lines underwriter and was most recently head of its South Korea desk.
AIG Japan has also appointed Koki Umeda as vice chairman, succeeding Hirofumi Shimoyama, who will transition to the role of senior adviser. Umeda brings over 30 years of global insurance experience and a strong track record of leadership across Japan, the Americas, and Europe.

5. Coface taps country manager for Vietnam and head of debt collection sales for APAC
Global trade credit insurer Coface has hired Vy Le as country manager for Vietnam.
Vy brings over 20 years of experience across corporate banking, trade finance, working capital solutions and risk management, with strong expertise in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
The insurer has also appointed Ivor Miric as head of debt collection sales for APAC.

6. Lockton taps Asia regional growth leader for marine, transportation
Lockton has named Alberto Ferriolo as its Asia regional growth leader for marine and transportation.
Ferriolo brings over nine years of international insurance experience spanning European and Asian markets, with specialised expertise in marine cargo, logistics, and global supply chain risks.

7. Allianz Commercial elevates new Asia head of
multinational
Allianz Commercial has promoted Awa Ketty-Camara as regional head of multinational Asia.
In this expanded leadership role, Ketty-Camara will oversee the development and execution of the regional multinational strategy, enhance client servicing capabilities, and drive sustainable growth and cross-market collaboration throughout Asia.

8. Markel hires new marine risk engineering role
Markel International has bolstered its Singapore marine platform with the appointment of Sjoerd A. Blomsma as a marine risk engineer.
Blomsma reports to Wanshi Lin, head of Singapore at Markel, for the newly created specialist role.

9. Marsh appoints cyber leader for Hong Kong, Macau
Marsh has appointed Sylvia Quang as cyber leader for Hong Kong and Macau.
Quang has been with Marsh in Hong Kong for two years, having joined in July 2024 as head of claims advocacy for Hong Kong and Macau.

10. Aviva’s Probitas Pacific names Australia head
Aviva Global Corporate & Specialty has named Jill Stewart as head of Australia for Probitas Pacific, replacing Max Broodryk, who is set to leave the Lloyd’s carrier to pursue other opportunities.
Stewart will join Probitas Syndicate 1492 in the role on July 13, subject to regulatory approval.

11. Delta appoints head of distribution
Delta has appointed Brett Wainhouse as head of distribution. He will take up his new role in August.
Wainhouse joins from Zurich, where he spent the past 12 years in senior leadership roles, most recently as state manager for Victoria and Tasmania.
Tune Protect Malaysia has appointed Louise Lee as the CEO.
Kuala Lumpur-based Lee has been working in the insurance industry for 20 years, with extensive expertise in consumer insurance, product development and distribution management, among others.

13. EBM Insurance & Risk hands duo expanded leadership roles
Australian broker EBM Insurance & Risk, part of the EBM Group, has handed director of broking Ryan Cameron and executive client director Ashton George expanded leadership responsibilities as part of a new national leadership structure.

14. Specialist Risk Group taps new partner, Australia head of construction
Specialist Risk Group Australia (SRG) has hired Corinne Biagioni as a partner and head of Australia construction.
Sydney-based Biagioni has joined SRG after more than six years at Gallagher in its construction team in Australia.

Loss adjuster McLarens has appointed Lam Choy Heng as managing director for its Malaysia business, while Berjaya Sompo Insurance has named Puriantoh Bin Supu as head of property, engineering and energy.
Canopius, meanwhile, has added Winnie Tay to its financial lines team in Singapore, while Continuum, the Bangkok-headquartered boutique brokerage focused on the web 3.0 and emerging technology sector, has tapped Howden executive Andy Tam to lead the buildout of its presence in Hong Kong.
The Great American Insurance Group has reshuffled the leadership of its Singapore branch to strengthen its capabilities in specialty lines, with Terence Yong shifted to a new role within its technical underwriting team as head of specialty lines for North Asia and Korea and Asia cyber. The insurer has also hired Ernest Heng as head of Southeast Asia specialty lines, succeeding Yong.
