Broking giant Aon has merged its risk solutions, health solutions and affinity teams in Asia and Pacific into a single Asia Pacific division.
Sandeep Malik, CEO of Aon Asia, (pictured) will lead the region as CEO of Aon Asia Pacific from the firm’s Singapore office while Geoff Blampied, CEO of Aon New Zealand and chairman of Aon Pacific, will become the division’s chairman; Blampied will keep his role as CEO Aon New Zealand.
Aon co-presidents Eric Andersen and Mike O’Connor commented: “This approach is designed to strengthen collaboration, accelerate growth, leverage economies of scale and more closely reflect the geographic structures of clients, insurers, partners and key trends in the region.”
Aon employs around 11,000 staff in 20 countries across the region.
