Angela Kelly, Lloyd’s country manager for Singapore, is set to leave the role and country in the summer.
According to a Lloyd’s spokesperson, Kelly (pictured) will leave Lloyd’s on July 28 in order to relocate back to Australia with her family.
Kelly started the role in November 2016 and according to her LinkedIn profile, she was previously head of casualty Asia Pacific and chief executive – Singapore at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions.
Tokyo-based Iain Ferguson, regional director, Asia Pacific, Lloyd’s told InsuranceAsia News: “I’m disappointed to lose [Kelly] – she has been a superb ambassador for Lloyd’s – but it’s time for her family to move on.”
He added that a search is underway to replace Kelly; Ferguson said: “We have already started a process to find her successor – both internal and external candidates – we are on the front foot.”
The role, based in Lloyd’s Singapore HQ in Capita Green, is one of Lloyd’s most important in the region. There are around 20 syndicates based in the building.
