1. Allianz names new country head for India
Allianz India has named Ritu Arora as the country head of India.
Arora served as CEO and chief investment officer of Allianz Investment Management in Asia Pacific and India advisor to the Allianz SE Board.

2. AIG hands expanded role to APAC multinational head
AIG’s head of multinational for Asia-Pacific, Jenny Boyd, has also been named head of client and broker engagement.
Singapore-based Boyd will assume the expanded role alongside her existing responsibilities as head of multinational APAC, a role she took on in March 2024.

3. Berkley Insurance Australia names new head of claims
Berkley Insurance Australia, the Australian arm of W.R. Berkley, has appointed Gareth Edwards as its new national head of claims.
He joins from JLT Public Sector, where he was divisional manager for claims for the last three years.

4. Allianz Commercial MD handed board role as part of reshuffle
Allianz Commercial’s managing director, Christian Sandric, has been given a board seat as part of a reorganisation of the division’s management structure.
Singapore-based Sandric has been the regional managing director for Allianz Commercial APAC since 2023, when he joined from AIG.
5. QBE hires new group CFO 
QBE named Chris Killourhy as its new group chief financial officer, effective January 1, subject to regulatory approvals.
He is replacing Inder Singh, who resigned in August to take up a new role as CFO of National Australia Bank (NAB).
6. Sompo appoints new head of property & multi-lines for Singapore
Sompo appointed Linda Ng as Head of Property & Multi-Lines for Singapore.
Ng will be responsible for leading the Singapore property and multi-lines portfolio, as well as developing talent and capabilities.

7. UIB Asia Singapore’s CEO given expanded role to oversee Labuan’s operations
UIB Asia Singapore CEO, Francis Savari, has been handed the role of principal officer for UIB Labuan.
Savari was formally approved by the Labuan Financial Services Authority (LFSA) for his new role, effective October 9.

8. NorthStandard promotes former head of underwriting to APAC head
P&I club NorthStandard has promoted Michael Hustler as its new head of Asia Pacific, effective October 27.
Hustler has been with NorthStandard for 16 years, most recently as head of claims and underwriting.
