Ageas, EastWest launch Philippines digital ventureJuly 3 2017 by InsuranceAsia News Staff
Ageas International Insurance and EastWest Bank have partnered to set up Troo, a digital insurance joint venture in the Philippines.
The partnership will allow Filipinos to have access to Ageas’s insurance products in the Asian and European markets.
Troo is headed by Hans Loozekoot, who has been appointed president and chief executive officer.
Troo will help address the needs of Filipinos for coverage, access to health care, education for children, as well as support during retirement.
Loozekoot told reporters that the venture is strategic for both companies since Ageas brings the insurance protection needed by people, while EastWest gives a large customer base for the partnership.
Antonio Moncupa, vice-chairman and chief executive of EastWest, expressed optimism about the joint venture, saying it is conducive to developing mutual trust, respect and full cooperation.
