One of the most successful examples has been the introduction of a monthly “Lunch and Learn” programme. With more than 70 colleagues from across Asia attending monthly, these sessions highlight specialist topics, emerging risks and evolving technical disciplines and are designed to spark curiosity and broaden exposure. Meant to serve as an accessible entry point into deeper learning, follow-on technical training is also offered for colleagues who wish to develop further expertise.

Starting at the internship level, which commences in May and is done in collaboration with the Singapore College of Insurance, students and early-career professionals are introduced to the loss adjusting profession. For existing colleagues, structured internal pathways have been developed to support career progression and mobility. Pathfinder Aspire, which recently celebrated its first graduating cohort, enables colleagues to transition from administrative roles into claims technician positions. By creating accessible routes into technical claims careers, the programme reinforces Sedgwick Asia’s commitment to developing talent from within and providing meaningful, long-term career opportunities.

A defining feature of the programme is hands-on experience. The programme is further supported by a professional study pathway, with guidance and assistance for colleagues working towards Chartered Loss Adjuster status.
