1. Edme Insurance Brokers taps Gallagher Re leader for treaty reinsurance division CEO
Edme Insurance Brokers has appointed Vinod Krishnan as chief executive officer of its treaty reinsurance vertical.
Krishnan will lead the creation and growth of Edme’s specialist global treaty reinsurance business.

2. Zurich reappoints former head of claims as chief claims officer
Zurich has reappointed Megan Shao as chief claims officer for Asia-Pacific.
She rejoins after having previously spent over two years, last holding the head of claims role between January 2021 to July 2022.

3. Swiss Re appoints new APAC senior cyber underwriter
Cheryl Tang (pictured) has joined Swiss Re as a senior cyber underwriter for Asia Pacific.
Singapore-based Tang joined from Munich Re, having most recently held the role of regional senior cyber underwriter.

4. WTW makes dual senior appointments across APAC
Willis has named Vijay Nair as head of tax insurance for Asia Pacific, while Michael Parrant has been appointed as director of its cyber practice.
In the newly created role, Singapore-based Nair will lead the growth of Willis’ tax insurance business across the region.
Melbourne-based Parrant joins the firm following 23 years with Aon.
5. Aon appoints new associate director for regional construction and infrastructure team
Aon has named Adharsh K Ramesh as regional construction and infrastructure team associate director.
Singapore-based Ramesh will look to “further develop the firm’s construction business across Asia.”
6. NorthStandard promotes regional underwriting director to APAC head
P&I club NorthStandard elevated Jack Marriott-Smalley to head of underwriting for Asia-Pacific.
He joined the firm as regional underwriting director in August 2021.

7. The Hartford grows Singapore team with double hire 
Specialty insurer The Hartford has appointed Chiaw Han Lean (pictured) as senior underwriting specialist for financial lines, and Qingyang Liu as an underwriter for its credit and political risks team.
Lean brings more than 20 years of experience spanning risk consulting and financial lines underwriting in the general insurance industry.
Liu will work alongside Shuohan Dai, senior underwriter for credit and political risk, and Zhenghong Pan, principal officer and underwriting manager for financial lines.

8. Howden launches Japan marine insurance service, names director
Howden has named Koji Aragane as director of its marine insurance services in the Japanese market.
Aragane will be responsible for working closely with clients, underwriters, and our global network to deliver tailored, innovative marine risk solutions.

9. BNP Paribas Cardif appoints new Asia CEO
BNP Paribas Cardif has appointed Michael Nguyen (pictured) as chief executive officer of Asia.
Nguyen was most recently the deputy chief executive officer and chief operating officer, leading the efficiency, technology, and operations department at BNP Paribas Cardif.
10. Marsh completes acquisition of Mitsubishi Electric Insurance Service, names president and CEO
Marsh has completed its previously announced acquisition of Mitsubishi Electric Insurance Service (MEIS) and has appointed Ichiro Seino as its president and chief executive officer.
Seino has been serving as the automotive industry leader for Marsh Asia since 2021, and joined Marsh Japan in 1995.

IAG has announced that its New Zealand chief executive officer, Amanda Whiting, will step down from her role following the appointment of a successor.
Gaurav Puri has joined Melbourne-based Bolderstons Insurance Brokers as an account director following nearly 10 years as the account manager Edgewise Insurance Brokers.
