PARIMA to focus on risk readiness at Singapore conference

The Pan-Asia Risk and Insurance Management Association (PARIMA) will explore Asia’s responses to challenges from global risks at its upcoming annual conference in Singapore.

The conference will convene risk and insurance professionals from across Asia and address evolving demands placed on risk professionals.

It will feature speakers from Asia’s risk management landscape, including Marsh’s Amy Barnes and BASF’s Antonio Kam.

PARIMA last held its conference in Singapore in 2017.

This year, the two-day conference will take place at Raffles City Convention Centre from October 29-30.

It will be spread across various sessions, including artificial intelligence, disaster risk, trade and investment uncertainty, and empowering the next generation.

The event is backed by 21 sponsors, including Aon, Marsh, Axa XL, Brokerslink, Descartes Underwriting, Howden, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, AIA, and Allianz Commercial, PARIMA said in a press statement.

The speaker profiles includes Taimur Baig, managing director and chief economist of DBS Bank, Pascal Rey-Herme, co-founder and group medical director at International SOS, Jennifer Richards, CEO for Asia Pacific at Aon, and David Jacob, CEO of Marsh McLennan Asia.

The conference will also feature masterclasses on insurer-broker relationships, parametric insurance, AI adoption, and business continuity frameworks.

PARIMA is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to advancing the risk management profession across Asia Pacific, and comprises 2,600 members representing over 1,300 companies.

Last year, PARIMA explored the Asian response to global risks at its gathering in Taipei.
