Pacific Insurance Conference returns to Hong Kong
November 25 2022 by Kristina Shperlik
This year’s Pacific Insurance Conference (PIC) main theme is the metaverse. Speakers will discuss strategies and adoption of metaverse from clients, customer engagement and branding, how to mitigate potential risks in the metaverse and where they can obtain cover.
The event will be held on December 1 from 5pm to 8pm at the Galamuse venue in K11 Atelier in Tsim Sha Tsui.
This year guests can choose their preferable format of participation: attend in person, create an avatar in the metaverse and connect with other avatars in VR mode or view sessions online.
3D immersive experiences could potentially help insurers engage with stakeholders, showcase products and understand how to utilise technologies to enable new business models.
Among guests are tech experts, consultants and insurers who will share their perspectives on business interactions in the metaverse.
Insurers’ senior executives making their first moves in the metaverse will also share their insights. Among them are: Greg Hingston, chief executive of HSBC Global Insurance and Partnerships, Mankit Ip, the chief executive of FT Life, Biswa Misra, group chief technology and life operations officer at AIA, Chris Wei, executive vice-president at Sun Life, and Daisy Ning, managing director head of life and health Asia, Swiss Re.
The Pacific Insurance Conference is one of the premier conferences for industry executives that helps them exchange innovative ideas and find solutions for the biggest industry concerns. PIC is affiliated with The Institutes, a non-profit organisation for the risk management and insurance industry.
