Malaysian takaful firm Hong Leong MSIG Takaful (HLMT) has named Modh Asri Omar as its new chief executive officer.
Omar assumed the position from January 2 this year, the company said.
In his new role, Mohd Asri is tasked to drive and execute transformation strategies to achieve profitable growth.
His role also includes accelerating the returns of shareholders and ensuring the operational effectiveness of HLMT.
Mohd Asri was the Head of Governance and Strategy of AIA Public Takaful Bhd, where he was accountable for the company’s business strategy, operations, projects and information management, legal, Shariah and secretarial functions, before he joined HLMT.
In a statement, HLMT said Mohd Asri will bring a wealth of experience to the company, having worked for over 20 years in key areas.
