QBE closes US$1.6bn LPT deal with RiverStone International and Enstar
The deal was effective July 1 this year and includes non-core long-tail reserves that were not subject to prior reinsurance transactions and a small number of other portfolios of various subsidiaries of the insurer, including Lloyd’s syndicates.

The transaction includes product & public liability, compulsory third-party motor, professional risks and workers’ compensation for losses incurred on or prior to June 30, 2023.

QBE strikes US$1.6bn loss portfolio transfer deal with Enstar, RiverStone
Enstar’s subsidiary will assume US$376m out of total net loss reserves for US commercial liability and workers' compensation risks, effective July 1, and will provide approximately US$175m of cover in excess of the ceded reserves.

Under the reinsurance deal RACQ will cede net reserves of approximately US$264m.
