Chinese insurtech market attracting more playersJanuary 23 2018 by InsuranceAsia News Staff
China’s emerging insurance technology landscape is attracting more players as the sector becomes more competitive.
Among the disruptors is CareVoice, China’s first review-based social platform that helps people make better health-related decisions.
The insurtech firm hopes to attract investors as it competes in the market by targeting a younger generation of affluent as well as tech-savvy consumers.
Based in Shanghai, the firm recently completed its first major round of funding from China-based Haitao Capital and US-based SOSV, which is one of the world’s largest seed investors.
So far, it has raised a combined US$3.2 million from an earlier angel round and the current venture capital-backed round.
