ACR appoints new Malaysia CEOJanuary 9 2018 by InsuranceAsia News Staff
Asia Capital Re has appointed Hue Yann Wei as chief executive officer of its Malaysia subsidiary.
Hue succeeds the unit’s founding CEO, AK Wong, who retired on December 31.
Bobby Heerasing, CEO of Asia Capital Re, said that Hue played a key role in building ACR Malaysia’s underwriting business since she joined the company in 2011.
“I look forward to growing ACR Malaysia’s relationship further with our business partners on the same foundation of trust and together meeting the exciting opportunities to come in 2018 and beyond,” said Hue.
She has 20 years of experience in the Malaysian insurance and reinsurance industry, according to the company’s statement announcing the move.
Before joining ACR Malaysia in 2011 as head of underwriting, she was deputy CEO at Munich Re Malaysia.
