Insurance Asia News is curating the inaugural awards for Insurance Asset Managers. We aim to recognise exceptional work done by third party asset managers on behalf of their insurance company clients. This has been a key area of focus for asset managers in recent years and Insurance Asia News is well-positioned to reflect and reward best practice.

Interviews will be conducted in December 2017. The winners will be announced in January 2018. We will be publishing a magazine supplement where each of the award winners will be profiled.

Passive managers need to show consistency, reliability and an ability to innovate for investing clients in an increasingly competitive space.

We are looking for asset managers with an outstanding track record and a demonstrably advanced approach to the management of equity portfolios.

In a challenging environment for emerging markets, we are looking for the managers who have shown an ability to deliver solid performance and to keep their clients engaged with the asset class.

This award category is for specialist service providers including actuarial, tax, audit and operations. The judges will be looking for exceptional performance in terms of client wins, product development or special projects undertaken.

Taking nominations from within the industry, the judges will identify the individual who has shown great leadership and stewardship within their own organisation.

Institutions are increasingly utilising factors within their investment portfolios to capture performance. The combining of passive and active elements is a key differentiator for smart beta providers. This award will identify those firms that can demonstrate genuine added-value for clients.

Awarded to the fund house that demonstrates a distinctive non-traditional investment strategy, with a consistent risk-adusted return profile.

Environmental, social and governance approaches to investing are the way of the future. We identify the institution that has provided investing institutions with market leading strategies.

The award for the firm introducing a product for institutional investors in Asia that is innovative, tailored for local clients, and successful.

This award will recognise the bank that is playing a key role in custody and fund administration  across Asia-Pacific region.  Firms will be assessed on new client wins, successful transitions and initiatives in technology.
