Nick Dekker is a Senior Partner, co-Head of APAC, and Head of Technology Consulting (International) at Alpha FMC, a leading specialist consultancy to the investment industry with over 1500 people globally. Based in Hong Kong, he has more than 20 years’ experience advising asset managers and asset owners.

Nick works with insurance CIOs and their teams to design and deliver changes across investment operating models, technology and data. His experience spans the investment function, from portfolio management and ALM through to investment operations and accounting. He combines detailed knowledge of the leading investment technology platforms and service providers with Alpha’s depth of investment expertise across Asia and globally.

His current work includes helping insurers achieve total portfolio visibility across public and private assets, build private markets capabilities, and put AI to practical use within investment teams. He brings a practical perspective on the organisation, systems and data needed to support increasingly complex portfolios, informed by work from initial design through to implementation.
