Daniel Ordonez

Head of Investment Compliance, APAC, Zurich Insurance

Daniel Ordonez has worked for Zurich Insurance Group since 2016, and joined their Hong Kong office in February of 2023 as Head of Investment Compliance for the APAC region. Previous to that and for the last four years, Daniel was the Deputy Head of Investment Governance & Controlling in Zurich’s office in Spain. Before joining Zurich, Daniel held several roles in the banking and investments consulting sectors.

Daniel graduated from Economy & Business Administration in his hometown of Barcelona, holds a Master’s Degree in Finance, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst by the American CFA Institute. For work or studies, he has previously lived in New York, London, and Rome, and he is now very excited to be based in Hong Kong and immerse himself in the Asian culture and traditions (he has started taking Cantonese classes).

In his spare time, Daniel enjoys working out, socializing, reading (about almost anything), and travelling.
