Craig Bell

Head of the Multi-Asset Portfolio Solutions, Eastspring Investments

Craig Bell is Head of the Multi-Asset Portfolio Solutions (MAPS) team at Eastspring Investments, responsible for growing and strengthening the Multi-Asset Portfolio solutions business for Prudential and third party clients. The MAPS team is responsible for developing, advising on and managing multi asset solutions on behalf of third party clients and Prudential plc, ensuring these funds are able to achieve their long-term target returns and operate within agreed risk parameters.

Craig has over 25 years’ investment experience. Prior to joining Eastspring in 2017, he was a Portfolio Manager at BT Pensions Management. He began his career as a graduate trainee with Barclays Global Investors and subsequently moved to Hermes Investment Management, first to manage the internal equity and bond index funds before moving in 2005 to the Tactical Asset Allocation team. During this time, he ran a series of absolute return, multi-asset, derivative portfolios for the BT Pension Scheme, the largest corporate pension fund in the UK with assets of £50bn. Craig ran the TAA team from 2010 until 2012 after which he shifted emphasis to became more focused on driving strategic asset allocation, overall portfolio and liability management as well as derivatives execution.

Craig holds a BA in Accountancy from Strathclyde University and an LLB from Glasgow University. He is also a CFA charterholder.
