Jateen Vaghela

Independent Actuarial Consultant

Jateen is a qualified actuary, through the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA), with 20+ years of experience in the banking, insurance, and pensions sectors across the UK, Asia, and North America. He currently operates his own independent actuarial consultancy based in Hong Kong.

In his previous position at Sun Life Financial, Jateen was part of the Global ALM leadership team and responsible for overseeing three critical functions across Asia: Asset Liability Management, Product Strategy, and the Financial and business implications of IFRS 17/9. His earlier career covers investment management and risk management roles at Aviva Group plc, Mercer, and FirstRand Bank, where he honed his expertise and contributed to various actuarial, investment and financial initiatives.
