Mark has over 14 years’ experience helping clients with cyber security matters, and his key areas of expertise include guiding clients through major cyber incident responses by providing incident management and strategic support, and leading complex cyber security assessments, such as Red Team, Purple Team and advisory engagements.

Prior to joining S-RM, Mark was an Associate Managing Director at Kroll leading the offensive security team in EMEA before moving to Kroll Singapore in 2023. Before Kroll, Mark held cyber security roles in intelligence and defence for the UK government in addition to a five-year stint in the cyber security consulting arm of a ‘Big Four’ firm. His previous engagements have included acting as virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) for listed technology and fintech firms and global manufacturing corporates to implement systemic improvements and build up permanent in-house cyber security capabilities. He has also acted for buyers and financial sponsors on time-sensitive cyber security due diligence exercises in connection with high-value corporate mergers and acquisitions, with specialist experience in where the target has been the subject of cyber breaches or ransomware.

Mark holds a Master of Science in Software and Systems Security from the University of Oxford and a Master of Engineering in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Bristol. He is also a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
