Panel Discussion: Proactive incident response planning with insurance considerations

Steven Sim has worked for 28 years in the cybersecurity field with large end-user enterprises and critical infrastructures. Always keen to give back to the community, he volunteers at OT-ISAC, the second key thrust of Singapore’s OT Cybersecurity Masterplans, as Chair of Advisory Committee as well as adviser, Cybersecurity SIG and Past President at ISACA Singapore.

He is a member of Geneva Dialogue Technical Community, CSO Security Council, CSA Cyber Essentials and Cyber Trust Standards Working Group and member of Zero-Trust and Emerging Risk working groups at MTS-ISAC. He is also member of ISACA’s Emerging Trends Working Group and Emerging Technology Advisory Group and part of SICW Govware’s Programme Advisory Board.

He adjunct lectured at NTU, NUS, SMU, SIT, NYP and TP on cybersecurity and is an APMG-accredited trainer for ISACA’s CISA, CISM, CRISC and CGEIT certifications. He writes regularly for ISACA, CSO Online, Computer Weekly and others. He also speaks and panels at conferences, judges, mentors, moderates and advises occasionally. He has been recognised through many accolades, including IDG’s CSO30 ASEAN Award, CSO50 Program, ISACA Chapter Achievement, ISACA Outstanding Chapter Leader, Tech Talent Builder, Skillsfuture Fellow, ETCIO SEA Transformative CIO, and The Cybersecurity Awards TCA2024 Leader.
