JLT joins HKMA’s infrastructure financing facilitation office

Jardine Lloyd Thompson has partnered with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority to facilitate infrastructure investments and financing through the HKMA’s Infrastructure Financing Facilitation Office was established in July 2016.

“We are delighted to be part of the IFFO network and we look forward to offering our insights and expertise, by playing an active role to assist with the platform’s mission of facilitating and financing infrastructure investments, as well as promoting Hong Kong’s advantages as an infrastructure financing centre,” said Dominic Samengo-Turner, chief executive of JLT Asia.

The partnership will aim to capitalise on China’s Belt and Road initiative, a government strategy to promote connectivity and long-term development across Asia, Africa and Europe, which has seen a growing number of companies looking into investments in infrastructure and related projects.
